Bootscharter in Griechenland · Bali 4.8 in Lefkada / Port of Lefkas — “The Big Orange Boat” — (2024)

Lefkada's position at the gateway to the Ionian Islands makes it the perfect starting point for a week's exploration, and The Big Orange Boat—a 2024 Bali 4.8 catamaran—is built exactly for this cruising ground. Six cabins and six bathrooms mean each of your twelve guests enjoys private en-suite facilities and plenty of personal space. The layout separates your group effectively: each hull houses cabins with direct access to separate heads, while the expansive saloon bridges the two hulls with a social hub that feels naturally open rather than cramped. The twin-hull design reveals its practical brilliance once you're underway. At anchor, those two hulls grip the seabed with exceptional stability—no rolling when you're dining, swimming, or simply floating in a bay. Shallow draft opens up the small harbors and beach anchorages that monohulls cannot reach, letting you tuck into hidden coves around Meganisi, Skorpios, and the Echinades. The wide platform between the hulls creates generous deck space: trampolines strung across the bow invite lazy afternoons, while the foredeck and cockpit become natural gathering points for your crew to orchestrate the sailing and for your group to watch the islands appear. With your own crew handling navigation and sail work, you'll experience the Ionian's rhythm on your own terms. From Lefkada, a week might flow toward Kefalonia's dramatic coastline, the sheltered channels of Nydri, or further north toward Corfu, discovering villages and anchorages that define Mediterranean cruising.
